About the British Virgin Islands
The British Virgin Islands (BVI) consist of 60 islands located about 90 miles due east of Puerto Rico and have become known as the sailing capital of the world.
These beautiful islands provide year round sunshine and a tranquil lifestyle to its 20,000 residents. Naturally, life outside the office centers in and around the water, with activities such as snorkelling, scuba diving, day sailing, and fishing being popular pastimes. The waters are calm and clear with constant trade wind balmy breezes. Land based activities include mountain hiking, horseback riding, tennis and other sports. With over 60 islands, there is plenty of exploring to do! In addition to the stunning beaches, the BVI has Botanical Gardens and National Parks.
For team members and their families joining our BVI office from other countries, we provide extensive assistance with relocating, settling in and general help adapting to life in the BVI. Working in the Appleby BVI office provides the perfect combination of work quality comparable to any big city firm, with all the benefits of an outdoor, sociable Caribbean lifestyle. Airlines connect to the BVI via direct international flights from US, UK, Europe and South America through San Juan, Puerto Rico, Antigua and Barbados.
