About Hong Kong

Hong Kong has a prime location at the geographical and economic centre of Asia and has for many years served as the springboard to mainland China and other Asian markets. It is also convenient time zone wise for Australasia. Hong Kong has a world-class infrastructure. Taxes are among the lowest in the world and as a major international financial centre, it comprises an integrated network of institutions and markets providing a wide range of products and services for both investors and customers. Hong Kong's financial markets are characterised by a high degree of liquidity and operate under transparent regulations.

Hong Kong is amongst one of the most interesting and stimulating cities in the world. Attractions range from the bustling harbour to tranquil country parks, glistening malls to outdoor markets, lively bars to quiet museums, and local noodle stalls to high class restaurants and cuisine. The climate is sub-tropical with distinct seasonal changes: humid springs, hot and sunny summers, breezy and cool autumns, dry and cold winters.

Everything is within easy reach: impressive buildings, an efficient transportation system, sophisticated payment systems and a place without language barrier. Most people speak English and Cantonese and all signs are bilingual. Since reunification with China in 1997, Mandarin is also commonly used.

Hong Kong has a unique blend of eastern and western influences, matched by diverse attractions and stunning countryside which makes it the prime tourist destination in Asia.
